Ski Touring on Dürrnberg
The short ski tour to the Zinken is perfect for getting some exercise or ending the day with friends in a relaxed manner. Thanks to the descent on the ski slope, it is also suitable as an introductory tour for any time of day. After 1 to 1.5 hours of ascent, you can enjoy culinary delights at the cozy Zinkenstüberl.
The rule of the game
Please note the opening hours of the slopes and follow the signs of the tour route for your own safety. Ascending on the ski slope and the upper Zinken t-bar lift’s slope is generally not permitted.
You can also track your tour using the Strava-App and analyze it afterward.
Info on safety, opening hours & parking
Paid parking
For ski tourers, the Zinkenlifte parking lot is for payment. You need to insert € 10.00 into the parking machines and display the section visibly behind the windshield.
Winter season parking passes for ski tourers, allowing the use of the Zinkenlifte parking levels, are available for € 150.00 for the entire winter season 2024/25. Parking is only allowed when the ski lift company is open during the season and within the specified hours for ski touring. If interested, please send a short email to info@duerrnberg.at with your contact details and phone number. We will call you back as soon as possible to inform you about the details and necessary documents.
The free use of the Zinkenlifte parking lot is reserved for ski guests. Possession of a SuperSkiCard or Dachstein-West card (or AlpenerlebnisBerchtesgaden) does not entitle ski tourers to free parking.
Due to space constraints, parking on the Zinkenlifte parking areas may not be possible during ski operation on weekends, holidays, and vacations.
Safety
The “Safety Police Regulation – Prohibition of Entering Ski Slopes Bad Dürrnberg” applies, as well as the general ski touring rules, such as climbing at the edge of the slope, not walking side by side, keeping dogs on a leash, skiing down the edge of the slope, and not using the drag lift track.
Obvious hazards are secured, but injury risks due to snow conditions may not be visible. Extreme caution is advised.
