Mountainbiking on Dürrnberg
On Dürrnberg, mountain bikers and e-bikers will get everything they love! Several bike routes lead up to the Zinkenkogel. Once you reach the top, the Zinkenstüberl treats you with delicious delicacies. The following downhill ride also provides you with an adrenaline rush.

A family-friendly biker’s paradise
Four mountain bike trails lead to the top of Dürrnberg. On the short and intense tour from the chairlift’s valley station to Zinkenstüberl, you can fully exert yourself with a total of 500 meters of elevation gain.
For those with sporting ambitions, the Hallein-Truckenthannalm or Hallein-Zinkenkogel routes offer a bit more of a challenge. Bike tours with lengths of up to 40 kilometers and 1,300 meters of elevation are waiting for you! Throughout these routes, make sure not to miss the wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and the city of Hallein.

MTB-Tours at the Dürrnberg
Hallein – Truckenthannalm
Level of difficulty: medium – Length: 18km, 670m elevation – Duration: approx. 3,30h
Directions:
The tour starts at Pernerinsel in Hallein. From there, you’ll head uphill via the Winterstallstraße, following the “Tauernradweg” towards the Gymnasium.
Along the route, you’ll be rewarded with an impressive panoramic view over the city of Hallein! Finally, you’ll reach the parking lot of the Dürrnberg chairlift.
At the end of the parking lot, the “Protestantenweg” leads steeply uphill to Stockergut. From there, the path continues at a more leisurely pace towards Truckenthannalm.

From the chairlift’s valley station to Zinkenstüberl
Level of difficulty: medium – Length: 9.6km, 520m elevation – Duration: approx. 1h
Directions
The tour starts at the parking lot of the Zinkenlift in Bad Dürrnberg. From there, follow the “Protestantenweg” uphill towards Zinkenkogel – the summit of Dürrnberg – and you’ll reach a slightly smaller parking lot after a short while.
From here, the beautiful and varied part of the tour begins near Stocker Bauer: Follow the forest road, which is mostly flat until you reach the ski slope, where the path ascends temporarily. After that, you’ll enjoy a relaxed ride through the forest from the exit of the t-bar lift, and soon you’ll arrive at the Zinkenstüberl at the summit of Dürrnberg. Here, you’ll find the mountain station of the chairlift as well as the starting point of the summer toboggan run.
