Stunning views

At the top of Dürrnberg, you may enjoy the incredible view of a breathtaking mountain panorama, the Salzach Valley, and the city of Hallein!

A family-friendly biker’s paradise

Four mountain bike trails lead to the top of Dürrnberg. On the short and intense tour from the chairlift’s valley station to Zinkenstüberl, you can fully exert yourself with a total of 500 meters of elevation gain.

For those with sporting ambitions, the Hallein-Truckenthannalm or Hallein-Zinkenkogel routes offer a bit more of a challenge. Bike tours with lengths of up to 40 kilometers and 1,300 meters of elevation are waiting for you! Throughout these routes, make sure not to miss the wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and the city of Hallein.

The various routes can easily be explored by E-bike as well!

From the chairlift’s valley station to Zinkenstüberl

Level of difficulty: medium – Length: 9.6km, 520m elevation – Duration: approx. 1h

Directions

The tour starts at the parking lot of the Zinkenlift in Bad Dürrnberg. From there, follow the “Protestantenweg” uphill towards Zinkenkogel – the summit of Dürrnberg – and you’ll reach a slightly smaller parking lot after a short while.

From here, the beautiful and varied part of the tour begins near Stocker Bauer: Follow the forest road, which is mostly flat until you reach the ski slope, where the path ascends temporarily. After that, you’ll enjoy a relaxed ride through the forest from the exit of the t-bar lift, and soon you’ll arrive at the Zinkenstüberl at the summit of Dürrnberg. Here, you’ll find the mountain station of the chairlift as well as the starting point of the summer toboggan run.
